Art course - Autumn

After a long break I decided to continue my painting and drawing hobby. I think I have nowadays more patience  for that, being a mom has changed me for good. Mila sleeps now two naps per day, and I try to write during the morning naps and draw or paint on the afternoon. But sometimes I do a little sketches at the morning before I write. It helps me clear my mind and concentrate.

So here's something I've done lately about autumn colors.

  1. Beautiful! There seems to be no end to your talent! I hope we get to see more of your work--perhaps for sale at some point? Can't wait for the Mila's Daydreams book to come out. Thanks for sharing your creativity with the world!

  4. Well... I think it's not about talent, I consider myself pretty average in everything I do, but I'm really obsessed to educate myself to be better. It has been weird to realize I haven't change that much since I was a kid, I'm still interested about same things, visual arts, movies, music, culture, literature etc. When I look back example my drawing when I was a kid/younger, I feel ashamed, but I love that feeling. It tells me that I get better. In that time I considered myself good in drawing, but now I can see that I was really average or even poor technically, but I had that passion for it. I'm sure that everyone CAN be what ever they want, if they just do it long enough. In the book "Outliers" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outliers_(book) Malcom Gladwell has this 10,000-Hour Rule. And I believe in that. I'm not sure if I have practise any of my passions as long to have a high level success yet, but I try to get there. Not because I want to be the best, just because I love to learn and do things.

  5. They are beautiful and I admire your commitment to expressing yourself. Being a mom can overwhelm and I know what it takes to still BE YOU with a little one.

  11. P.S. You really should make some posters or prints of these. They would "sell like hotcakes," as the American saying goes.
