It is in Helsinki, FINLAND. It does look like a St.Peterburg, true. Finland was actually part of Russian Empire when most of this part of town was build. :)
ihana valaistus ja värit kuin ranskanpastillipussista! rauhallinen hetki ennenkuin kaupunki herää...pikkukuvassa näytti lähinnä teatterin kulissilta :)
Adele, Thanks for sharing your little Mila and your creativity through her first year. I've enjoyed your posts immensely. I was so sad to hear people had given you trouble. I like seeing what's on the other side of the world. I'm here in Utah in the USA.
What a lovely view of this busy world!! I am so very sad that your wonderful, innocent, beautiful blog has been somehow co-opted by such unscrupulous people and companies.
Though I can see how the absolutely wonderful vignettes and tableaux could be irresistible to anyone with a heart, it seems that the avaricious are just as prone to follow this journey, making the most of your work, and their grabbing of your art is just shameless.
I DID post a link to it the first moment I looked in---don't even remember how I got here, but I didn't see even a half-dozen of the pictures before dashing back to my own site and saying "GO LOOK AT THIS!!"
My few readers loved her, as they seem to love my own grandchildren, but it seems that the whole WORLD is in love with your sweet little one. May it be from afar, and on your terms, for your art is too gloriously enchanting to be kept under a bushel.
How beautiful! It makes me wish I lived someplace equally cold and snowy so I could sit at the window with my little guy and eat our hot morning worms with that view!
Your photo is beautiful - my dream country. Could I ask please, what time of day it was taken? At this time of year it's dark there a lot of the time is it? Thank you, Vanessa (Australia:)
It won't let me put my new blog address in but here it is: www.vanessa-paris.com/blog - I'll swap - Australia for Finland xox
Beautiful! Familiar feeling street scene. I spent a wonderful few weeks in Helsinki last May. We enjoyed the amazing long hours of daylight. The dark is beautiful, though hard to take. Your spring is coming soon!
Great picture but not very inviting.

ReplyDeleteI'm totally with you on this one. My son gets up for the day at 4:30. In the morning!!!

ReplyDeleteThere is something special with being "the first one awake"....
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and peaceful outside as you're warm and safe inside cooking breakfast. What a wonderful start to a new day!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it. It looks cold, peaceful and beautiful. I love cold winter days as long as I am warm and comfortable inside.

ReplyDeleteAll this snow is fascinating to see. My 9 year old has never seen snow! It was so hot last night we ate dinner outside.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like something from a storybook.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! By the way, thanks for the great idea! We are doing a countdown with you.
ReplyDeleteU mnie niestety duuużo więcej, nawet nie da się zaparkować.
ReplyDeleteGosh, this is beautiful! Seeing this picture makes me miss Europe immensely! I will have to go to Finland next year.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty picture! It brings back happy memories of a visit to Sweden, nearly 10 years ago :)
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed your beautiful photos of Mila, too, and am sorry for the troubles you've had. Hopefully karma will get those people.
Wow, love this photo.
ReplyDeleteThe view reminds me of the children's book, "Night Cars" by Teddy Jam.

Such a beautiful but stark photo.
ReplyDeleteHa-haa, Harhama :D
ReplyDeleteI think the beauty is in its starkness - it reminds me of East Germany before 1989 with more colour!
ReplyDeleteThis picture made me very homesick. I am in Brisbane, Australia and miss the winter...
