Early Bird Gets a Worm!

It’s true, almost 365 episodes of The Today Show will run before my book, When My Baby Dreams, is released by HarperCollins (it’s scheduled for January, 2012), but if you tune into today’s episode of The Today Show (that’s February 10th, for those of you keeping score), you might see Mila’s first big publicity hit and one unpublished daydream photo! Woohoo!

And since 365 todays means 365 tomorrows, and you might get really busy and forget about these funny little dreams by the time 2012 rolls around, I thought I’d set up a mailing list and do the remembering for you!

So, if you’re interested about the book news, just type in your e-mail address below, and I’ll send out a couple of notes as soon as we get closer to publication!

All the best,
Adele Enersen

  10. Unfortunately we don't get the Today Show here in the UK, but I shall be awaiting the book with anticipation. It should come out just in time for my daughters 3rd birthday (we're just rolling up to her 2nd) and I think she'd just love looking through all the pictures.

  21. discovered your blog today. (because yes, one of my neighbours is one of those who emails stuff so I just googled your name)I am soo impressed with your creativity wow. Brava, such talent and creativity. I wish you all the best with your book and no, I did not see you on tv (I'm not a big tv watcher) but I think your beautiful book (what else is it going to be!) will become a major best seller. Funny how someone else's creativity can tweak your heart and make you want to create [s]. Not the way you do, I do not have that in me. But I am a writer and I can always appreciate someone else's talent.

  22. Am I the only person who finds this disturbing? Yes, you are very creative, imaginative and talented and your child is a sweet soul. But, when you sleep it is with the knowledge that (hopefully) no one is using you as a prop for a photo shoot, posed and moved around.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Flidais: No, you are not the only one, just in the minority. And that's totally ok with me. :) I don't like everything in the world either. That's life.

Btw, am I the only mother who has taken photos from her sleeping child? ;)
At least I take photos of my own child and not others, that would be creepy...oh, well, at least if you are not the Anne Geddes. Huh? :)

Hey, all the best for you anyway!

  27. My auntie told me about your photos, so I clicked on your video - such a talented family! Your scenes are so creative and it's odd that anyone could think that photographing your sleeping baby the way you do is disturbing. The kids I showed your video to thought it was fantastic, and we all know babies need their sleep!
All the best, and congratulations on the book.

  29. I just found your blog today and I enjoyed it all. I am looking forward to the book coming out - congratulations! I actually sent you an email but then I read further and I see that you are overwhemed with them. I wanted to find out about sharing the video you have on your Behind the Blog page. I know it is on YouTube, but is it really ok with you for others of us to post it on our blogs? I want to respect your desires in this. I am hoping my (very few!) followers will see it and want to buy your book! If you would rather I not post the video, I'll just write about your blog and the book.

I will be back for visits!

  52. I was on facebook, and over on the right hand side where all the advertising is, I saw a little picture of what looked like your Mila...Looked like the same style photography and everything. I did a quick page snip of it (which included the business web address, I'm pretty sure). I thought I had remembered you asking anyone who saw this type of thing to contact you. I have the picture of what I snipped saved on my computer if you ever want me to send it to you. I would have emailed you, but could not find an email address for you.

Hope you are doing well, and that sweet Mila is not growing up too fast!

Yes, we are doing well. I seriourly should update my blog but it has been so nice to have a good vacation from all that jazz, and just concentrate on my family and california. Soon we'll be back in Helsinki, so maybe that's good reason to update. :) All the best for you, (for all of you guys!)

  55. Adele, is your little girl 1 year yet? How did she do on your plane ride to California? I am flying with my 10 month old to Finland in a few weeks to visit my cousins, aunts and uncles. I'm so nervous for the flight!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Zamre: Yes, we're ok, just back in Finland with the influenza :), otherwise great! I know, I know, I should blog something soon.

lindsay: Hey! Yes, she's very soon 1 year, and we are so excited!

Actually, the plane ride to States from Finland and back was quite pleasant, since (at least Finnair) airplanes has this baby basket and special seats for families with the babies. (in the inner flights in States we didn't get basket, seatbelt for babies, or more space, so it was very stressfull way of traveling.) Even when we return to Finland, and Mila was actually little bit too tall for that basket (it's for babies under 70cm), they put that basket to our legroom, and Mila took a long nap there. (I saw whole movie during her nap, I call that luxury!)

Just request baby basket from your airline, I'm sure your flying will be great! If you fear your baby might have problems with ears during the take off or landing, try nursing, or give him/her something to drink or suck while air pressure changes. Welcome to Finland!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks! I think Finnair is more luxury than American Airlines that I'm flying so I might not have those cool baby baskets, but I'll ask.

I'm excited to buy something Marimekko, maybe something Aarikka and mostly just to sit by the lake and eat makkara. :)
